The first step is annealing of the solution at 10801120 C for 244 hours and then a rapid assembly of the austenitic structure by air or water quenching. This is succeeded by aging at 700 -750C of 16 hours that promotes precipitation of 7 par ( gamma prime ) that enhances creep and tensile strength a lot. To relieve stress, slow cooling down may be used (thermal treatment at optional temperature of 850900oC and duration of 24 hours). The heat treatment should be performed under controlled atmosphere such that no oxidation occurs and this leads to good microstructure and mechanical properties.
