Understanding the Alloy Edge: SS 309 vs SS 310

SS 309

For challenging thermal environments, this austenitic stainless steel is what you need. It delivers outstanding oxidation resistance and it retains mechanical integrity up to approximately 1,100 °C (2,012 °F) and contains about 23% chromium and 14% nickel for furnaces, heat exchanger supports, and other hot-zone components.

SS 310

SS 310 helps you move on up. This will make your life into an easier one. Chromium rises to 24-26% and nickel goes to 19-22%, increasing oxidation resistance and durability in hotter settings. Industrial ovens, incinerators, and also refractory linings go on to it, because of its continuous use for up to 1,040 °C, and then intermittent temperatures for up to 1,050 °C.

• Angle and flat profiles can be precision-cut precisely. Also, someone can laser-fuse them together. Even after a detailed fabrication work, they remain reliable as produced hot-rolled or cold-rolled.
